Create your canvas

In order for you to start the process we would like to know how many prints you would require of the image you are going to upload at step 5. The size can be chosen from the list of standard options, or you can select a custom size which would best suite either the image or your requirements.

Don’t worry if you are unsure of the correct size to have your canvas print as this can be changed once you have uploaded your image at Step 5. You will see a preview of the image and size selected and if this doesn’t look right you can simply increase or decrease the dimensions by using the plus and minus icons.

Your canvas print will be stretched around a solid wooden frame, where the canvas itself will be wrapped around either a 1 inch or 2 inch frame depth. Choosing a 2 inch or 1 inch depth would determine how deep you would like your print to stand out from the wall. The most popular choice is 1 inch, but this is purely personal preference.

Design team tip: If you are having quite a large canvas print (30x25 or bigger) we would recommend a frame depth of 2 inch.

Gallery: This means the image from the front of the canvas will continue around the edges of your frame depth.

Mirror: This means the edges of the frame will be a mirrored portion from the front face of the canvas. Depending on the frame depth chosen would determine how much is taken from the front of the image to wrap around the edges.

White: This would purely mean the edges of the frame would be plain brilliant white canvas and the image would only be on the front of the print.

Custom colour: If you would prefer an alternative colour to white, this option must be selected and a colour chosen from the colour wheel. Any colour can be selected

Design team tip:If you have detail close to one of the edges you would like to keep on the front please leave this area blank and our design team will correct this to match the front image either by mirroring or duplicating parts from the face of the canvas.

Original: Your image will be printed in its original format.

Black & White: Your image will be converted to a black and white format and printed with no colour.

Sepia: Your image will have a sepia tone added to it, which consists of mainly brown shades to give an antique appearance.

There are two options to send us your image:

"I have a digital file I wish to upload": This is the most popular option where you can upload a file up-to 10mb from your computer. Once uploaded you will then be shown an accurate preview of the image and canvas size selected. You will be able to make alterations by using the tools surrounding the image preview to position and crop your image to how you would like it to appear on your print.

Design team tip: If your image does not fit the preview then you can add extra to the dimensions by using the plus and minus icons for the width and height of the print.

"I have a photo I’d like to mail or post": This option is here should you have an actual photo print and not a digital version. Or you would simply rather email us the file rather than upload (Due to file size or trouble uploading).

Design team tip: If you are scanning a photo print yourself, please ensure you scan the photo at a min of 600dpi. If you are unsure about how to do this then please just send us the photo and we will do it for you. Your photo will be returned along with your canvas print.

If you would like to enter our monthly photo competition please tick the box and you could stand the chance of winning a £150.00 voucher for canvas prints. Your image will be showcased on the website where people can comment on your photo. The winner is chosen at the end of each month and you will be notified by email. Get your friends and family to comment on your photo as the comments are taken into consideration when a winner is chosen.

Design team tip: if you have not positioned your image correctly and you have left parts on the front of the canvas white for example, our design team will make any corrections to improve the look of your canvas print.
